What are the vampires in your life? Don’t feed them! … Another song born out of my struggles with OCD, invasive thoughts, PTS and depression. The good news being that I’m doing really great right now. Having a near collapse in my life forced me to figure out what was going on in my head, diagnose problems I didn’t know I had, and develop healthy ways of thinking. One of those is not allowing the search for happiness to kill happiness … that’s largely what this song is about for me, but there are plenty of alternative ‘vampires’ out there to ruin your joy (news, doom scrolling, politics, worry, blame-gaming and many more). Whatever your personal life-suckers are, I invite you to take a breath, let them go and deny them the food that keeps them keeping you down.
